Submissions must be received by April 7, 2012.

All forms of research are welcome (i.e., quantitative research studies, qualitative research studies, critical or rhetorical analyses, ethnography, autoethnography). Research findings presented via performance are welcome as are multi-authored papers. E-mail papers (maximum 25 pages, excluding references and appendices) in a Word (.doc) format to Dr. Mindi Golden at mgolden@sfsu.edu. In the case of research presented via performance, please e-mail a performance title, two-page summary of the focus of the research, and a list of performers to Dr. Golden. In the case of multi-authored papers or multi-participant performances, please make the corresponding author/performer clear. Cover pages must also include the name and e-mail address of the faculty member supervising the submitted research.

Brief Guidelines for Submitting a Paper to the Conference

Your submitted paper should include:

  1. a title page with the title of the paper, author names and affiliations, the corresponding author’s e-mail address, and the name and e-mail address of the faculty member supervising the research;
  2. the body of the paper, which makes clear its focus/assumptions, methodology, and findings (we recognize that different forms of research will reflect these elements in different ways and that not all forms of research will include explicit headings of this nature);
  3. a list of references cited in the paper;
  4. appendices, if applicable.

Your paper should be a maximum of 25 pages in length, excluding references and appendices.

If a paper is co- or multi-authored, please make clear in your e-mail when submitting your paper who among the authors will attend the conference, and if your faculty mentor will be accompanying you.

Any questions regarding the appropriateness of a submission or guidelines for submissions can be directed to Dr. Mindi Golden (mgolden@sfsu.edu).
